OPERATIONS COORDINATOR, GROUP HOME DIVISION

Position Overview: Ensures staff are sufficient in number and adequately trained through the coordination of recruitment, hiring, and staff development activities; Creates and maintains systems to ensure services and facilities are operated in compliance with standards set forth by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Ohio Department of Health, as well as company policy and procedure; Works in collaboration with the Director of Operations and the Director of Finance to establish expense budgets for each facility.

Monitors and approves expenditures to ensure that budget expectations are realized in each facility; Responsible for developing and maintaining all quality assurance activities, including the execution of routine home inspections, and review of all unusual and major unusual incidents. 

Responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of quality improvement plans/plans of correction to rectify identified deficiencies; Conducts regularly scheduled meetings, including UIR Committee, according to a prescribed frequency; Conducts investigations of major unusual incidents, prepares investigative summary and communicates with appropriate agencies regarding MUI’s and UI’s; Coordinates, implements and maintains the Emergency Preparedness Plan and associated training and testing exercises; Provides initial and on-going training throughout agency; Provides support to operations after hours as necessary.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field; Three (3) years management/supervisory experience in the field – experience with the provision of service in an ICF preferred; Understanding of rules and guidelines that regulate the provision of services to individuals with disabilities; Experience managing professional and paraprofessional staff.

Operations Coordinator, Group Home Division

PROGRAM MANAGER

Position Overview:  The Program Manager’s primary responsibilities include assistance in managing supported living services, specifically the delivery of services and ensuring that the environments in which those services are delivered meet health and safety standards. Provides management and supervision of Lead Support Associates and Support Associates.  

Monitors the key supporting elements of service delivery, such as scheduling, staff training and support, and service location monitoring. Provides good stewardship by managing resources effectively, such as limiting the use of overtime, manages staff absences effectively, etc.  

Maintains quality staff through site monitoring, including site visits, staff training, and staff performance evaluations.  

Conducts routine meetings with Lead Support Associates to understand and address any issues occurring on the caseload. Provides after hour on call support for staffing or client emergencies.

Position Requirements: 

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a human service field and two (2) years of management/supervisory experience in the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities or related social service field, OR five (5) years of management/supervisory experience in the provision of services to individuals with developmental disabilities or related field.

Program Manager

ADULT DAY SERVICES MANAGER

Position Overview:  The Adult Day Services Manager is responsible for the daily operation of all day service programming. Supports the growth of existing business and promotes and develops new business opportunities. Develops day services program content and designs implementation strategies though the establishment of a daily activity schedule, planned community outings, events, etc.  

Provides management and supervision of all staff assigned to adult day services.  Monitors the key supporting elements of service delivery, such as scheduling, staff hiring and orientation, vehicle maintenance, facility repairs, etc. to ensure that operations are managed and executed in an efficient and effective manner.  

Develops marketing strategies and activities in collaboration with the Director of Operations. Responsible for conducting new client interviews and staffing facility tours.  Works collaboratively with the Director of Operations to establish a program budget.

Ensures budgeted revenue and expense expectations are met.  Works in conjunction with the Director of Operations and the Home Office to resolve billing issues. Ensures that billing is both timely and accurate by routinely reviewing service and payroll documentation.

Ensures the timely reporting of all Unusual Incidents (UI) and Major Unusual Incidents (MUI) internally and to the local county board of developmental disabilities.  Provides direct services as needed.

Position RequirementsAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is preferred, plus two(2) years management experience, or five (5) years management experience, preferably in the delivery of social services.  

Ability to obtain/maintain CPR and First Aid Certification and to successfully complete all other required training for the position. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities.  Proven leadership capabilities. 

Strong written and oral communication skills. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and Outlook. Successful background check. Current valid driver’s license, with less than six (6) points, and compliance with Ohio liability insurance coverage standards.

Adult Day Service Manager

PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Position Overview:  The Program Coordinator ensures that the appropriate, high quality services and supports are provided to the individuals served through effective care coordination and advocacy. Coordinate and monitor the development and implementation of the Individual Service Plan (ISP) in compliance with company policy and procedure, as well as with external regulations.

Orients and trains Support Associates on active treatment and ISP implementation, as well as company policies, procedures, and practices. Communicates and maintains positive relationships with families, guardians, advocates and all other members of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Monitors all relevant systems, including required documentation, medical issues, finances and physical environment. Resolves any discrepancies or conflicts between programmatic, medical, dietary, and vocational elements of care.  

Routinely reviews program data and progress. Initiates changes in the ISP collaboratively with the IDT.  Ensures follow up to recommendations for services, equipment or programs. Ensures adequate environmental supports and assistive devices are present. Coordinates the reporting and review of Unusual Incidents and Major Unusual Incidents with the Regional management. Participates in the MUI/UI Review Committee.  Supports the Director of Operations and other members of the management team with the successful marketing of services.

Represents RMS at client interviews as assigned.  Provides back up for Program Manager in providing staffing coverage for clients in events of crisis or emergency.  Ensures the appropriate use of client funds in a manner consistent with client needs and in accordance with the ISP.  Provides support in the event of a MUI including after hours.

Position Requirements:  High school diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. One (1) year experience providing direct supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.  Strong verbal and written communication skills. Capacity for independent decision making.  

Ability to work a flexible schedule  Basic understanding of Microsoft software, specifically Word and Outlook. Current valid driver’s license and compliance with Ohio liability insurance coverage standards. Ability to maintain medication, CPR, and First Aid certification.

LEAD SUPPORT ASSOCIATE

Position Overview:  The Lead Support Associate is responsible for delivering and supporting the delivery of high-quality services that are documented in accordance with company policy. 

This position provides mentoring support for Support Associates, serving as a training and information resource.  The Lead Support Associate also assumes responsibility for monitoring service documentation and ensuring the assigned service location is maintained according to client and company standards.

Position Requirements:  One (1) year experience providing supports to individuals with developmental disabilities.  High school diploma or GED Current valid driver’s license with a good driving record and automobile insurance meeting Ohio’s minimum standards. Ability to maintain CPR, First Aid, and medication administration certification. Strong communication and organizational skills a must.

Position Overview:  The Support Associate (DSP) is responsible for providing supervision, support and assistance to consumers (individuals) as prescribed within the Individual Service Plan/Individual Program Plan to increase independence and quality of life.

Position RequirementsPrevious experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, but not required. A High School diploma or GED is preferred. Current valid driver’s license and automobile insurance meeting Ohio’s minimum standards. Ability to maintain CPR and First Aid certification.

Position Overview:  The Day Support Associate (DSP) is responsible for providing supervision, support and assistance to consumers participating in our Adult Day Services Program. The Day Support Associate ensures the activities offered at the program are consistent with the individual’s preferences, as stated in the ISP.

In 2020, the Federal Government finalized “Transparency in Coverage” Rule, which requires health insurers and group health plans, including self-funded clients, to provide cost-sharing data to consumers.
