Ohio Participant Eligibility Requirements to receive services from RMS
Ohio Eligibility Requirements for Services:
The county board of developmental disabilities provides and coordinates services for eligible county residents who have a developmental disability.
In order to become eligible for services from a county board of developmental disabilities, an individual must have a developmental disability, which is defined under Ohio law as a severe, chronic disability. This is a condition that will likely last a person’s lifetime, and developed before the age of 22, and is due to a mental or physical impairment or a combination of the two, with demonstrated functional limitations.
RMS Supported Living Services
All program participants must have a developmental disability to participate in RMS Supported Living Services.
Individuals must be enrolled on an Individual Options (I/O) or Level One waiver. Private funds or County Board of Developmental Disabilities funding will be accepted.
RMS Adult Day Services
All program participants must have a developmental disability, and be at least 18 years of age, to participate in RMS Adult Day programming.
Individuals must be enrolled on an Individual Options (I/O) or Level One waiver or reside in one of our ICF group home locations. Private funds or County Board of Developmental Disabilities funding will be accepted.
ICF/IID - Group Homes
All program participants must have a developmental disability to receive RMS residential services.
Individuals requiring residential service must have a developmental disability, be at least 18 years of age, and meet Medicaid requirements for an ICF/IID level of care.
Medicaid, private funds or County Board of Developmental Disabilities funding will be accepted.
Institutional Respite Services
All program participants must have a developmental disability and be at least 18 years of age to receive Institutional Respite Services.
Individuals requiring institutional respite must be 18 years old and meet Medicaid requirements for an ICF/IID level of care.
Individuals must be enrolled on an Individual Options (I/O) or Level One waiver. Private funds or County Board of Developmental Disabilities funding will be accepted.
Specialized Services
Program participants usually have a diagnosis on the autism spectrum to participate in specialized RMS programming.
Individuals must be enrolled on an Individual Options (I/O) or Level One waiver. Private funds or County Board of Developmental Disabilities funding will be accepted.
