Reflecting on the Past Few Months:

Here at Team RMS, the past few months have been a whirlwind of exciting developments and milestones worth celebrating.

In this news update, we will take a moment to rewind and reflect on some of the key happenings at some of our locations in the state of Ohio. From parades to DSP awards, here is a brief update on a few of the company events that have occurred over the last few months.

Team RMS and Pioneer Days Parade:

Our RMS of Ohio – North Central Regional location was thrilled to participate in the town of Kalida’s Pioneer Days Parade over the Labor Day weekend holiday! It was exciting to join the festivities and celebrate alongside the amazing community in Putnam County.

Being a part of the parade was a fantastic opportunity for local Ohioans with developmental disabilities to connect with their neighbors in a fun and festive way. RMS of Ohio staff and individuals enjoyed marching in the parade and giving out candy.

More than just a fun event, the parade holds a special significance for us at RMS of Ohio. It is an opportunity to:

  • Celebrate:  The event is an opportunity for the town of Kalida and the surrounding Putnam County community to celebrate. We are proud to provide services throughout Ohio, including the greater Putnam County region. Participating in the parade allows us to show our appreciation for the place we call home.
  • Connect:  The Pioneer Day parade provides a great opportunity for our individuals and staff to interact with their surrounding community. We look forward to next year’s parade!
  • Commitment:  The individuals and employees are the heart and soul of RMS of Ohio. The parade is a chance for them to come together and have some fun with the community.

Best of Ohio – DSP Awards:

Team RMS was honored to congratulate Jodi Hundley for winning the “Best of Ohio” 2023 ID/DD Excellence Award. Jodi is a dedicated and exceptional Direct Support Professional (DSP) at RMS of Ohio. Jodi received the award from the Oho Health Care Association (OHCA) in November of last year.

Their combined dedication and care make a profound difference in the lives of countless individuals and their families.

DSPs are a key part of the state’s DD support system. Awards like this recognize the outstanding direct support professionals who deliver an extraordinary amount of support and compassion. Their actions directly help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful lives.

People like Jodi help to transform the lives of the individuals that she supports. With help from DSPs like her, more people can achieve their personal outcomes while actively engaging in their communities.

This award recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in their commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

Congratulations once again to Jodi Hundley on this well-deserved recognition! We are honored to have you as part of the RMS of Ohio team.
