RMS was founded in 1983 to provide
community-based support
services
to children, adolescents, and adults with developmental,
emotional, physical, employment and social needs. The supports we provide are as
diverse as the people we serve. Our services are based on a well-defined understanding of each individual and
designed to foster independence while assisting the
individual in pursuing his or her life goals. Services are available up to 24-hours a day, 7-days a week and may be funded
from public, private, or third party sources.

RMS is comprised of several companies. Each company is incorporated
under its own name and has its own identity despite sharing the same logo.

Residential
Management Systems, Inc. Incorporated in the State of Ohio-6/83.
Provides long term care to persons with mental retardation and developmental
disabilities in a residential setting referred to as an Intermediate Care
Facility for the
Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR). Each home accommodates eight persons. This company
has 6 homes in the state of Ohio. Regional offices were established for
support as group
homes began opening in specific geographical areas. The area in Ohio is the Ohio
ICF/MR Region
(began operations in 1983).
RMS of Ohio, Inc.
Incorporated in the State of Ohio-7/93.
Provides services to persons with disabilities in their own home or apartment,
referred to as
Supported Living in the state of Ohio. This company has established regional
offices to support
its operations in the geographical area of the state where consumers are being
served. The first
area of operation began in Southwest Ohio immediately upon incorporation in July
of 1993. Thereafter
operations were established in Central Ohio in November 1993 and Northwest Ohio
in December 1993.
RMS of Ohio, Inc. provides services across the state:
New England RMS, Inc. Incorporated in the state of Rhode
Island-11/95.
Provides services to persons with disabilities in their own home or apartment,
referred to as Supported Living in the states of Rhode Island. This
company
began operations in Rhode Island in November 1995 and continues to explore
service delivery opportunities in the northeastern United States.
RMS Management, Inc. Incorporated in the State of Ohio-4/89.
Provides management and support services for all
of the RMS companies (i.e. payroll,
payables, receivables, financial reports, internal/external audits, personnel
issues,
and technical support of computer systems, etc.).
