The RMS Day Services
programs have two locations in Cincinnati which provide a multi-sensory environment where the senses are
stimulated to encourage individuals to participate in and enjoy
their environment. Sight, sound, touch, smell, taste, plus the
vestibular (gravity and movement) and the proprioceptive
(awareness of our bodies in space) systems, are activated in this
innovative program.
RMS Day Services is
especially appropriate for individuals who have:
- sensory needs,
needing either more or less sensory input;
- an Autism
Spectrum Disorder;
- severe cognitive
impairments who have difficulty interacting with
or managing within their environment;
- dementia or who
are aging and desire a gentler environment.
Programming
provides opportunities to:
- improve social
and environmental interaction skills;
- enhance
recreational and leisure skills;
- build sensory
integration skills; and
- strengthen
personal and adaptive skills

For individuals with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or related
sensory needs you will find:
- tailored programming
- specially trained staff
- environments conducive to fun and learning

"We're very satisfied
with the attention and help our daughter receives, and the
reporting of her well-being and the professional work done by the
caregivers."
---Arthur Mullins,
father of Brenda. Brenda has attended RMS Day Services since its
opening in 2006 and has resided at the RMS ICF-MR since 1983.
